This tutorial will show you how to arrange elements on a page with specified margins between them. When moving or editing elements, to align them neatly one by one is a bit tedious. You can use the "Align to Grid" function to make this process easier. For example, we have the following text elements which are not aligned neatly. The following shows how to align them.
Select all the elements that you want to align.
Click on the down arrow of this button on the toolbar and select 40 from the drop down menu.
The selected elements will be aligned as follows with margin of 40 pixels between them:
The margins shown in the drop down menu can be customized. Select "Tools" > "Preferences" from the main menu. Select the item "Align to Grid" on the left.
